Arrival Instructions

Jaisalmer Airport, about seven to ten kilometres away, has limited and often seasonal flights. Most visitors arrive by train or bus, or fly to Jodhpur, about five hours away by road.

Jaisalmer railway station, a few kilometres from the fort, has trains to Jodhpur, Jaipur and Delhi, including overnight services. Book sleeper berths in advance.

Buses connect Jaisalmer with Jodhpur, Bikaner and Udaipur, and the Air Force Circle bus stop is around five minutes on foot from the hotel.

Within the city, walking is the best way to explore the fort and havelis. Auto rickshaws are useful for Gadisar Lake at sunrise or the railway station.

For desert trips, the hotel organises jeeps and camel safaris. Sam Sand Dunes lie about forty kilometres west, and Khuri about forty five kilometres southwest.
